Celiac is the Least of My Issues

Can I be honest with you guys? Celiac disease is the least of my issues when it comes to my health.

Yes, eating gluten-free can be hard. Yes, socially, it’s a pain in the a**. But after 8 years of being gluten-free, I’ll admit that its become pretty easy for me.

I have POTS and a rare type of Adrenal Disorder. I have invisible illnesses outside of celiac that make my life MUCH more difficult.

The one thing I’ve noticed over the years since being an advocate for celiac disease is that nearly ALL of us deal with some other health issue besides being gluten-free.

While I enjoy sharing about gluten-free food, I truly enjoy helping any of you feel a little bit better with your own invisible illness too.

Not all of us have celiac and not all of us are gluten free. However, ALL of us have some type of mental illness, physical illness, or something “abnormal” with our body that can’t be seen from the outside.

Whether you have celiac disease, POTS, EDS, IBS, anxiety, depression, arthritis, or anything else, YOU are who I advocate for. YOU are who I’m here for. We need ALL of our voices to be heard, not just one of them. You can always count on me to keep sharing my voice and positive perspective so you can be heard too. 💜
