I got my first tattoo when I was 18 years old. I didn’t get it to be rebellious. I didn’t get it to stick it to my parents. No, I got my first and every tattoo for me. 💪🏼
Common misconceptions about people with tattoos:
They are rude
They are mean
They are aggressive
They are unprofessional
They are unintelligent
They live unhealthy lifestyles
Sure, this can apply to some people with tattoos...but this can also apply some people without tattoos. Anybody that has any of these traits has NOTHING to do with having tattoos or not. Simple as that.
Every tattoo of mine is unique to myself and has its own story behind it. Each one serves as a different symbol for my own strength, resilience, and overcoming of what I’ve gone through in life so far. Each time I look at them, I feel positivity because of what I’ve overcome and that’s a wonderful thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From my experience, those who have tattoos are some of the nicest, most compassionate, loving, accepting, and caring people I have ever met. They may have tattoos too but that doesn’t define who they are.
I’m sure many of you know these things already, but please let this serve as a reminder that not all people fit their stereotype. This is one stereotype that deserves to change and hopefully you can look at me and see a reason for it to change too. ❤️
