A Male Who Loves Makeup : Where My Passion Began

I would have never gotten into makeup without this girl 💄😄💁‍♂️ Before we met this year, I was not out as bi-sexual, I was not into makeup, and I certainly was not comfortable in my own skin. I’ve always been a very open-minded person who’s open to new experiences.

One of the those new experiences that my friend, Stormi, introduced me to when we first met was makeup. I didn’t do makeup right away. In fact, I wasn’t even interested. However, over time, she and many other people showed me that it can be ok to be interested in things as a man even though they’re not hyper-masculine.

From then on out I started exploring my own interests and what makes ME happy, despite what anyone else thinks. Makeup, naturally, became one of those things that I truly enjoy. It relaxes me, it allows me to be artistic, and it allows me to be myself. If I would have never been open to new experiences and new people, I would have never been able to discover who I really am.

Of course, I’m still growing every day but that’s something that EVERYONE should do too. The most important thing to take away from this is that you should never be ashamed for your likes and interests and you should NEVER be ashamed for who you are.

I can confidently say that I love myself inside and out. However, I certainly wouldn’t have gotten here if I wasn’t open to having new experiences and allowing people teach me things along the way. ❤️
