Being Happy Despite The World Around Me


I’ve been afraid to share this because of everything going on, but I’ve been really happy lately.

I’m not happy with the world.

I’m not happy I can’t see my family.

I’m not happy so many people are sick.

But I am happy with myself.

Rather than LIVING in these negative emotions/thoughts, I’m choosing to EXPERIENCE them. That’s the difference.

Sure the world can have an impact on my happiness, but I’m choosing to refocus on MY life, what I have, and everything that I’m grateful for each day.

Just because I focus on my life doesn’t mean I’m being insensitive to the world around me. I can still do my part to protect people, be mindful of people, AND be happy with who I am. If anything, we f*cking deserve that!

With the craziness of the world changing constantly, please don’t forget to focus on yourself too. You, along with everyone else in the world, deserves to make your happiness a priority ❤️
