Some Instagramers Seem to be Getting Fake These Days

Some Instagramers seem to be getting fake these days. Why don’t I post a lot about products? Well, because I don’t want to promote something I don’t love.

Before you think I’m calling people who promote products, fake, that’s not what I’m saying at all. In fact, many of my close Instagram friends promote products every week and get paid for it. I love that and support them because we deserve to be paid too! ❤️ However, I will say that I’m seeing a lot more paid ads as opposed to the original content created by the influencers themselves.

In my opinion, it’s too much. I scroll through my feed and don’t see much originality anymore. Just product promotions and the next “OMG YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS” post. 🙄

Here’s my thing: It’s ok for people to promote products that they like. It’s ok for people to get paid for it. However, we still need people to be original to themselves and post content that is honest too.

I, personally, don’t accept many paid advertisements because it’s not my thing. 🤷‍♂️ Instead, I value promoting what makes me unique and the way I perceive my not so typical life as a bisexual, gluten-free, traveling, makeup loving man with invisible illnesses. (Wow that’s a mouthful 😅)

My story is unique, I am unique, and I only want to share the content, food, makeup, and products that I BELIEVE in.

To be honest, I will post a paid ad here and there (only for products I love) because a mans gotta pay bills 🤷‍♂️ But if you follow me, you will always get honesty and transparency. I will always be real with you and share products that I TRULY love.

Above all else, I want to do my best to be refreshing and supportive of your journey along the way. ❤️
