Dear 11 Year Old Me

You are about to embark on a part of your life that you will not understand.

You are about to feel sadness, pain, and sorrow that you know you don’t deserve.

You are innocent, you are healthy, but you are very confused with who you are.

You will come across these next few years as the years you think you’ll always remember but the years you will soon forget.

You don’t know what makes you happy, you don’t know what makes you sad, and you don’t know what in life will matter most...but that’s ok. In time you will learn and in time you will see.

As I write this to you, I’m sure the fear of the unknown is scary...but don’t be scared. The unknown only stays unknown for so long. It’s up for you to go out there and discover it yourself.

Face your fears, face your feelings, take each day to grow and better yourself. For the past is the past and tomorrow is another day to make the most of what’s ahead.

Let yourself fail and let yourself hurt. For without these feelings you will never grow to the amazing person you can set out to be.

You have the power to create happiness in each day. Know that this happiness starts with loving yourself and growing from each past version of the person you are.

Have no regrets, look forward with intent, and do everything with love and determination to make yourself a better you.

With much confidence and love,

Taylor ❤️
