My Sexuality Doesn’t Define Me

My sexuality doesn’t define me.

I once thought I was:

  • Heterosexual

  • Asexual

  • Demisexual

  • Homosexual

  • Bisexual

  • And now...Pansexual

These words give people empowerment...these words help people understand who they are...but these words do not define somebody as a whole.

I struggled for years to understand who I am. So many moments I was terrified of what people would think of me...some people made fun of me when I came out as bisexual, some people made me feel isolated when I thought I was asexual, but now, I don’t care.

Yes, it may not be “normal” to be pansexual, but I’m done feeling abnormal for ONE PART of who I am.

When I say I’m pansexual, I say it for ME to understand. It doesn’t change a single thing about me or the person I’ve always been. It just means I now understand one part of me that I’ve always felt...and I gotta say, it feels incredible to know who I am 😌

No matter what your sexuality is, just listen to how you FEEL. Whatever you feel won’t define you as a person. Who you become is up to you and sexuality is just one single part of who you are. ❤️
